Who we are

Sylheti Translation And Research is a community focused research association and publisher. We seek to partner with the Sylheti community in Bangladesh, India, the UK and worldwide in order to preserve and promote Sylhet's literary and cultural heritage through academic research, translation and multilingual publications.

STAR aims to promote Siloṭi Nagri literacy, so that as many people as possible can enjoy Sylheti folk literature in its original form. We also seek to encourage and assist modern Sylheti authors to publish their work in their own language.
